![]() I *think* the "Clear" state remains, as long as you go directly into bios after setting it to that, and the issue was that it wasn't saved when not going directly into bios. ![]() ![]() ![]() I used the pure DOS method.Īfter the shutdown when the bios update was done, the "Clear" state was still intact. When I got it back to the state where all three Security Passwords read "Clear", for the very next restart, I updated the bios to the newest version. It kept reverting to the "Frozen" state on the hdd even after doing the Acer recommended fix found here: Īfter trying the procedure, it still reverted to "Frozen" on the first reboot when installing Windows.
